Role

Climate17 is working alongside a well-established UK-based asset management firm specializing in the entire project lifecycle of renewable energy assets, from origination to operations.

They are seeking an O&M Manager to ensure contractual and statutory compliance for a portfolio of Solar PV and BESS O&M contracts. The Manager will aim to maximize asset production, increase efficiency, and maintain high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide O&M services to meet contractual requirements, including reactive callouts, team recruitment, training, and competency management.
• Work with internal teams to ensure staff have the necessary tools and equipment.
• Measure maintenance performance and implement improvements.
• Develop maintenance plans and schedule resources.
• Manage work control, safety compliance, and report on completed work.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules, write and review RAMS, permits, and procedures.
• Manage a team of engineers, ensuring safety compliance.
• Oversee supplier relationships and warranties.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders such as DNOs and asset owners.
• Respond to emergencies and outages.
• Serve as the main contact for the O&M service, providing updates and contractual reports.
• Manage P&L for services and contracts.
• Ensure accurate client invoicing and supplier payments.
• Assist in integrating new sites into maintenance systems.
• Use and maintain a Computerised Maintenance Management System.

Requirements:

• Qualification in electrical/electro-mechanical discipline.
• ECS Gold Card - Essential.
• Previous electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Good IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, troubleshooting software).
• Qualification for safe site work.
• HV authorized person – AP15/OP40.
• Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics (inverters, converters, transformers).
• Experience with BESS - preferred.
• HVAC training and F-Gas qualification - preferred.
• Understanding of IT topics like CMD, remote desktop, networking, MODBUS/TCP - preferred.
• C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent - preferred.
