Role

Climate17 is working with a well-established UK-based asset management firm specializing in renewable energy projects, from origination to operations.

We are seeking an O&M Manager to oversee contractual and statutory compliance for Solar PV and BESS O&M contracts, aiming to maximize asset production, improve efficiency, and ensure high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide O&M services meeting contractual requirements, including reactive callouts, team recruitment, training, and competency management.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure staff have the necessary tools and equipment.
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Develop maintenance plans and schedule resources.
• Manage work control, safety compliance, and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules and write/review RAMS, permits, and procedures.
• Manage a team of engineers, ensuring safety compliance.
• Handle supplier relationships and warranties.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders such as DNOs and asset owners.
• Respond to emergencies and site outages.
• Serve as the main contact for the O&M service, providing updates and reports.
• Manage P&L, client invoicing, and supplier payments.
• Integrate new sites into maintenance systems.
• Utilize and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Requirements:

• Qualification in electrical/electro-mechanical discipline.
• ECS Gold Card - Essential.
• Electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Good IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, troubleshooting software).
• Ability to work safely on site.
• HV authorized person – AP15/OP40.
• Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics (inverters, converters, transformers).
• Experience with BESS - preferred.
• HVAC training and F-Gas qualification - preferred.
• Understanding of IT subjects, CMD, remote desktop, networking, MODBUS/TCP protocols - preferred.
• C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent - preferred.
