Lightsource bp in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our O&M team. You will assist in administrative tasks for the Ground Maintenance department, coordinating field activities across the UK and supporting both internal and external personnel to deliver safe, timely projects.

You will work with remote field teams, manage task progression, training bookings, and fleet movements, while tracking KPI updates and ensuring reports are completed.

• Monitor weekly KPI progress and update management publications.
• Assist ground maintenance fleet management and vehicle servicing tracking.
• Dispatch deliveries and book external training for the department.

Purpose of the role

Assistance in administrative tasks for the Ground Maintenance department. Supporting the efforts of a variety of projects undertaken by internal and external personnel; ensuring all works are completed in a timely, professional, and safe manner.

Duties and responsibilities

• Effective communication and engagement with the remote field team at all times, including creation of field jobs, quotations, purchase orders etc. via team calls, emails and messaging systems.
• Assisting the safe delivery of planned and reactive grounds maintenance activities across multiple UK regions.
• Delegating of tasks to appropriate team members, ensuring they have all required materials for the task.
• Booking and tracking of personnel training, hotel bookings and project timeframes. Tracking all tasks from start to completion, managing our internal computer systems as tasks progress.
• Assisting with the target of zero missing reports for the department on a weekly basis, chasing down the field report for closure if necessary.
• Monitor and modify weekly team update presentation. Taking minutes and actioning where required.
• Monitoring weekly progress of departmental KPI’s – updating matrix ahead of management communications.
• Assistance with ground maintenance fleet management, tracking vehicle servicing, haulage and movement of large-scale agricultural machinery around the UK.
• Assisting and dispatching of deliveries for the team.
• Booking in and tracking of external training for the department.
