Job summary

Nottingham Forest Football Club is seeking an ambitious NXT GEN Head Coach to lead a high-performance pathway for emerging Netball athletes at The City Ground, Nottingham. Qualifications

• Experience within NPL, NXT GEN, or equivalent high-performance environments.
• Level 2 England Netball coaching qualification.
• Strong technical and tactical knowledge of the game.
• Experience of developing young or emerging athletes.
• An understanding of the demands of elite performance environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organisational ability.
• Ability to create positive, challenging and inclusive environments.
• Experience of planning, delivering and reviewing structured training programmes.
• Ability to provide clear, constructive and individualised feedback.
• Commitment to safeguarding and athlete wellbeing.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead all NXT GEN training sessions and competitive fixtures.
• Develop and implement a clear coaching and playing philosophy aligned to Nottingham Forest Netball.
• Plan progressive training programmes that challenge athletes and support individual development.
• Deliver high-quality technical and tactical coaching.
• Prepare the team effectively for competition through detailed opposition analysis and match preparation.
• Review team and individual performance using performance analysis tools.
• Set clear expectations around preparation, professionalism, behaviour and performance.
• Establish an environment where athletes take ownership of their development.
• Ensure training intensity reflects the demands of elite netball.
• Continually evolve the programme in response to needs.
