Job summary

Yunex Traffic is seeking an experienced NVQ Assessor to support the delivery and assessment of engineering-based vocational qualifications across the highways electrical and infrastructure sector. You will assess learners in traffic signal systems, EV charging infrastructure, and related disciplines, traveling to employer sites throughout the UK.

The role reports to the NVQ Centre Manager and involves coordinating with employers and learners to ensure compliance and successful qualification

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering or electrical competence.
• Significant industry experience in engineering environment.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for learners undertaking engineering and work-based NVQ qualifications.
• Carry out workplace observations and assessments at employer sites throughout the UK.
• Review learner portfolios and evidence against qualification standards.
• Provide timely feedback, coaching and guidance to learners.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain achievement targets.
• Ensure all assessment activities comply with awarding organisation and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain learner records using company systems.
• Liaise with employers and workplace mentors to support learner development.
• Participate in standardisation meetings and CPD activities.
• Promote safety, professionalism and quality across assessment activities.
