NVH Development Test Technician (0985) - £18.64 - £19.67/hr PAYE (d.o.e)

As an NVH Development Test Technician, you'll be at the forefront of vehicle design and testing, working in a dynamic environment that values precision, collaboration, and creativity. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects while developing your skills in a supportive and forward-thinking team.

What You Will Do

  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts and components for both static and dynamic testing.
  • Set up equipment and instrumentation to ensure accurate and efficient test execution.
  • Collaborate closely with Test and Design Engineers to conduct high-standard tests and analyse results.
  • Identify concerns during testing and propose effective solutions to improve performance.
  • Assist with facility management, including maintenance, calibration, and risk assessments.
  • Support the creation and review of test reports, working with engineers to resolve any outstanding issues.

What You Will Bring

  • Ideally, a City & Guilds or BTEC Level 3 qualification in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering with a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Experience in vehicle or component testing environments is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle disassembly, assembly, and maintenance techniques.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems with the ability to troubleshoot and fault-find effectively.
  • Proficiency in using instrumentation, data analysis, and report writing tools, along with basic Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Location:

This exciting opportunity is based in Cranfield, offering a modern and well-equipped environment to support your professional growth.

Working Pattern - 5 days a week in the office- normal hours are (8:00-17:00 Mon-Thu & 8:00-13:20 Fri) this is non-negotiable with the department.
