Position Overview:

• We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and motivated nurse to join as a Nutrition Nurse.
• The role includes training, supervision, and assessment in practical and clinical skills to support the nutrition service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients referred for parenteral and enteral nutrition.
• Manage patients requiring intravenous access devices such as PICC lines and enteral feeding tubes (nasojejunal, PEG).
• Teach patients, carers, and healthcare professionals once competent.
• Ensure peer review of nursing staff regarding tube care and management.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team across clinical boundaries.
• Collaborate with enteral agencies for safe nutrition support at home.
• Act as a role model and expert, providing clinical guidance and support.
• Undertake clinical supervision and act as a resource for healthcare professionals.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and contribute to service development.
• Monitor health, safety, and security, promoting best practices.
• Lead investigations into incidents and complaints when required.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and promote an open, transparent culture.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and challenge boundaries to enhance patient care.
