As part of our strategy, Asda is dedicated to improving the diets of our customers through our healthy and sustainable choices programme. To support this mission, we are seeking a passionate nutrition manager to join our team.

This individual will play a crucial role shaping and delivering the healthy choices strategy to drive improvements in health KPIs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  1. Lead implementation of HFSS regulations in line with legislation, government guidance and industry best-practice.
  2. Manage research, strategy development, delivery and evaluation of the Healthy & Sustainable Choices strategy. Define testing approach for health strategy propositions, evaluating and proposing strategic priorities for the business.
  3. Lead external partnerships with academia and external experts in nutrition, sustainability, data and behaviour change to take a holistic approach to strategy development and evaluation.
  4. Represent Asda on external working groups such as BRC's Nutrition Working Group and the IGD Nutrition Forum. Contribute to discussion and maximise effectiveness of attendance for Asda's strategy.
  5. Demonstrate thought leadership and inspire innovation in food, health, sustainability and tech at Asda.
Lets find out about you
  1. Bachelors degree in Nutrition, Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health or related field of study.
  2. Associate/Registered Nutrition Status and commitment to CPD as per the AfN Code.
  3. 3-5 years' experience in the food industry.
  4. Strategic thinking, strategy development and execution.
  5. Stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
  6. Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify and communicate complicated scientific principles.
  7. Leadership and change management skills.
  8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw learnings and define recommendations, with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  9. Provision and acceptance of actionable feedback to colleagues at all levels of the organisation, given with positive intent.
  10. Line management experience.
  11. Self-starter who works well independently, as well as across stakeholder groups of all levels across the organisation.
  12. Research methods, statistical design, analysis and interpretation.
  13. Project management skills.
  14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
