Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nurture Teacher for a specialist provision in Liverpool. The role is temporary with a view to permanent, starting as soon as possible.

You will support students with SEMH needs, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a nurturing, structured environment that boosts academic progress and emotional resilience. QTS is required, with experience of SEMH and strong behaviour management.

Nurture Teacher Needed in South Liverpool

North West/ temporary / £140 - 220 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Liverpool, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a nurturing and structured environment focused on helping students build confidence, improve emotional regulation and re-engage with education in a positive way.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Nurture Teacher on a temp to perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful Nurture Teacher will work closely with students requiring additional emotional support, delivering engaging lessons and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes both academic and personal development.

The successful Nurture Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
