Job summary

The RSPCA is seeking a Nursing Team Leader for our Birmingham site, Newbrook Animal Hospital. This role blends clinical nursing with line management, guiding a team of five and collaborating with our Nursing Manager and Veterinary Surgeons.

Hours are 21 per week, 07:45–15:15, three days (Mon, Thu, Fri) with some flexibility; on-site at Birmingham Animal Hospital. The recruitment process includes panel interviews in October and aims to welcome you into a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with current UK registration.
• Experience in clinical leadership and team supervision.
• Willingness to work 21 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 5 veterinary staff.
• Balance clinical duties with line management responsibilities.
• Support Nursing Manager and Veterinary Surgeons in daily operations.
• Maintain clinical standards and animal welfare across the sites.
