Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Band 3 Nursing Support Worker (Community) to join the District Nursing Team covering the Towy Valley area. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 3 Nursing Support Worker (Community) to work with the District Nursing Team covering the Towy Valley area. The successful applicant will possess good communication skills and demonstrate a willingness to develop in the Nursing Support Worker role. The applicant should be willing to work flexibly within the team, under the supervision of the qualified nurses.

As a Nursing Support Worker you will be responsible for the delivery of high standard, cost effective nursing care, under the supervision of the Team Leader or delegated representative.
You will ensure that patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as directed by the Team Leader.
Although you will act at all times as directed by the nurse in charge of the caseload, you should be competent to work without direct supervision, within a framework that has been agreed by the Team Leader.
You will communicate effectively at all times and in conjunction with other team members. You will act as a role model for Student Nurses.
The ability to travel in a timely manner between rural sites where there is limited or no public transport.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
