Job summary

University of Chester invites applications for a Lecturer in Nursing (0.6 FTE) on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. The successful candidate will bring clinical nursing expertise to the academic team and deliver engaging teaching to undergraduates, using real-world scenarios to foster hands-on learning.

We expect registration with the NMC as an Adult and/or Learning Disability Nurse and a degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Registered Adult and/or Learning Disability Nurse on the NMC register or equivalent.
• Educated at least to degree level.
• Teaching qualification or Fellowship desirable.
• High level of clinical competence and credibility in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging nursing education to undergraduate students.
• Incorporate real-world clinical scenarios to enhance learning.
• Support professional development of students and contribute to mentorship.
• Travel between sites, with primary base at Chester campus.
