An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Nursing Home Manager to oversee a 22-bed facility. This role involves ensuring high-quality care tailored to residents' needs, leading a skilled team, and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations. You will manage financial performance, develop positive relationships with residents and families, and contribute to continuous quality improvement. Oversee the management of a 22-bed nursing home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in line with residents' individual needs and preferences.
Lead, manage, and support a team of staff, including training, supervision, and performance management to ensure they meet the home's standards and expectations.
Ensure compliance with CQC guidelines and all regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding protocols.
Manage financial performance, including overseeing budgets, resource allocation, and ensuring efficient use of resources to meet the needs of the residents.
Act as the point of contact for external professionals, including GPs, social workers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure excellent care provision and communication.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.
Lead on recruitment and staff retention, ensuring the home has a skilled, motivated, and well-trained workforce.
Contribute to and implement strategies for continuous quality improvement, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
Be prepared to take part in on-call duties and be available for evening, weekend, and night-time visits as required to meet the needs of the service.
Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent (essential).
Experience in a nursing or care home management role, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering high standards of care (essential).
In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, health and safety, and quality assurance processes.
Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example and foster a positive and supportive team culture.
Experience in managing care for individuals with mental health conditions and/or learning disabilities (essential).
Desirable: Registered NMC RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse), dementia care experience, and knowledge of managing behaviours of concern.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing needs, including being available for on-call support when needed.
