An exciting 2 year nurse professional leadership internship has been developed for mental health and learning disability nursing across Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. You will work with the Associate Director of Nursing and Therapies; Mental Health and Learning Disabilities to provide a professional workforce development leadership for nursing across the Trust and utilise collective leadership skills to co-create a clear vision for the contribution to the overarching Trust Strategy. You will already be working competently and confidently to the four key pillars of practice, incorporating, education, research, and leadership in your current role. In this new role you will be expected to spend some time working in specialist nursing practice, whilst also leading several defined nursing objectives aligned to clinical practice and standards. This internship is intended to invest in the development of our nurse leaders, and you will therefore be fully supported to develop your own professional leadership development plan for this role and beyond, with the Associate Director of Nursing and Therapies; Mental Health and Learning Disabilities., All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.
