Job summary
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Site Director of Nursing for the Royal and Liverpool Women’s Hospital on a 6-month secondment. The post reports to the site Chief Executive and collaborates with the Director of Nursing to deliver strategic aims and high-quality care.
The role emphasizes safe care delivery, clinical governance, and leading a large nursing workforce across the Trust, with accountability for safety, quality, and national standards.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current UK or equivalent registration.
- Master's degree in Nursing or higher education required.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in an NHS trust or equivalent.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, safe patient care and quality improvements.
- Experience supporting delivery of national and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide visible nursing leadership across the site and Trust.
- Ensure accountability for safety and quality of care within areas of responsibility.
- Mentor and develop divisional nursing leaders.
- Advise Trust decisions on professional nursing matters.
- Promote a professional, high-standards culture and adherence to codes.
