CAMHS ReACH Team is a developing service within Wakefield which aims to support young people, their families and carers during periods of crisis. We provide support across a range of settings including, hospitals, homes, schools and clinics. The team provides 365 day a year cover between 8am and 8pm, the role will consist of a working pattern of long day shifts 8am-8pm on a rostered basis.
We encourage applicants who have experience of working with children/young people with emotional and mental health needs, and experience of practicing in a flexible and adaptable manner.

Main duties of the job
You will work alongside senior mental health practitioners to manage a caseload of young people presenting with varying mental health challenges.
You will work independently to deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people to aid recovery and promote self-management of their mental health.
You will need to develop strong working relationships with professionals across the district; therefore excellent communication/engagement skills are essential.
A commitment to improving service delivery and developing new ways of supporting young people and families experiences is crucial to work within the wider CAMHS team.
This is a fast paced role and requires a can do attitude towards tasks.
The team offer outreach to those that are difficult to engage, providing intensive support to meet identified need contributing to a reduction in admissions to inpatient provision.

The NA will work independently under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, providing holistic evidenced based high quality care to patients and will be professionally accountable for their actions. They will supervise and delegate appropriately to support staff within the team and they will support and supervise students and learners who are on placement.
Be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centred, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse with a focus on promoting health and independence.
Be an accountable professional.
Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.
Carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction of a registered nurse.
Have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individuals defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the NA role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.
