Our work in Core Neighbourhoods is central to Stockport Neighbourhood Care. Services will be available 7 days a week to help people stay healthy and maintain independence, with the goal that the right care is delivered to the right people at the right time.

Main duties of the job

The Stockport Primary Care Network offers exciting opportunities for enthusiastic individuals eager to support our integrated teams working across Adult Social Care and Stockport Foundation Trust. The post holder will collaborate with Community Nurses and Adult Social Care staff to provide excellent service to Stockport residents.

We seek a flexible, innovative Nurse Associate practitioner with diverse clinical skills. The District Nursing Service provides care in patients' homes and residential settings, caring for patients with complex needs and supporting carers.

Stockport District Nursing Service offers a supportive preceptorship program for staff new to community nursing and welcomes applications from newly qualified staff. We have a 33-hour Band 4 Nurse Associate vacancy to work with Victoria District Nurses as part of Stockport Integrated Community.

Job responsibilities

The post holder should possess good organizational and assessment skills, be flexible, and willing to cover shifts between 8 am and 6 pm, 7 days a week. You may be asked to assist in a busy treatment room when needed.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptability, reliability, and approachability. You must demonstrate current knowledge of relevant nursing issues and understanding of the Stockport Primary Care Network and service integration. The post involves lone working, and you must be a driver with a vehicle available for work.

If appointed, an enhanced DBS check costing £54.50 will be required, with the fee deducted from your salary. Additionally, you must join the DBS update service and pay an annual fee of £16.
