Main duties of the job
  • Assist the practice team with hands-on,person-centred care of patients as part of the wider nursing team
  • Work independently under leadership ofregistered nurses within NMC Code of Conduct
  • Undertaking cervical screening
  • Measure and interpret blood glucose levels
  • Meet the needs of patients presenting foropportunistic wound care
  • Advise and support patients with healthpromotion and lifestyle advice
  • Support patient and their families and carersthrough diagnosis and treatment
  • Recognise changing priorities seeking adviceand guidance from the Practice Nurse or other relevant registered healthcareprofessional as appropriate.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ensuring the privacy, dignity and safety ofindividuals is maintained at all times
  • Use of clinical IT systems, and maintainingaccurate patient records
