Springcare Care Homes Ltd is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a 36-hour day shift vacancy in Wolverhampton. You will join a caring, supportive team and help with personal care, nutrition, mobility and residents’ well-being, reporting to the Home Manager.

Successful applicants will be able to lead a team of Care Assistants, demonstrate patience and empathy, and communicate effectively. DBS and references are required; benefits include pension, training and wellbeing support.

• Experienced Nursing Assistant (Senior Care Assistant level 3)
• Reliable and trustworthy, able to work as part of a team & unsupervised
• Self-motivated and able to motivate and lead a team of care assistants
• Leadership skills, able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to ad hoc situations
• Patience, empathy and care, able to communicate with others using both oral and written skills

Responsibilities

• Allocate duties to a team of Health Care Assistants - acting as a role model in best practice at all times
• Help provide personal care to residents and support their nutrition, mobility and well-being
• Undertake clinical tasks under the guidance of the Home Manager (e.g., PEG feeding, medication administration, basic observations)

Nursing Assistant Days - 1 x 36 hour vacancy

About you:

• You would be an experienced Nursing Assistant (Senior Care Assistant level 3)

Main Purpose of the Job

Nursing Assistants provide an essential role in contributing to the smooth running of our homes for older people. Our Nursing staff lead on the social care and support for our residents.

Reporting to the Home Manager, you would be responsible for allocating duties to a team of Health Care Assistants - acting as a role model in the delivery and promotion of best practice at all times. You would also help to provide personal care to our residents and support with their nutrition, mobility and well-being.

Once assessed as competent under the guidance of the Home Manager, a Nursing Assistant would also be required to undertake clinical tasks which may include:

• PEG feeding
• Medication administration
• Basic Observations

Typical Shift patterns for Day or Night Contracts

Days Shift Contracts

• 8am until 8pm
• 8am until 2pm
• 2pm until 8pm

Night Shift Contracts

• 8pm until 8am
