Job description

We’re looking for compassionate and caring Nursing Assistants to join Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Our Nursing Assistants take great pride in essential patient care and commit to going the extra mile day in, day out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with patients, relatives and multidisciplinary team in a sensitive and compassionate manner.
  • Support patients with personal care needs, including mobilising, toileting, bathing, dressing, eating and drinking.
  • Record patient observations and changes to patient conditions as part of delegated clinical care duties.
  • Work flexibly across day and night shifts over seven days a week, collaborating with registered nurses and adhering to Trust guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications and Development Path
  • Support Worker Development Programme for Nursing Assistants, including completion of the Care Certificate for those who have not previously completed it.
  • Opportunity to progress into a Band 3 Nursing Assistant role upon completion of the programme.
  • Experienced Nursing Assistants will undertake a skills analysis at start and will be supported to access clinical skills modules to progress to a Band 3 post on completion.
