An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Nursing Assistant within our inpatient wards within North Cumbria. This includes across our Adult acute admissions, Older adult and Learning Disability inpatient services. The role would include 24/7 cover with shift working.

Carleton Clinic consists of 5 adult mental health inpatient wards which provide a range of clinical services. Our services include female and male acute admission wards (Rowanwood acute and Hadrian), two older adult wards (Oakwood and Ruskin), and one learning disability service (Edenwood). Our wards support men and women providing assessment and treatment by a multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

You must have a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe, patient care and be a good role model in reflecting the Trust's core values. You will be provided with training opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills, offered regular supervision and support, and have ongoing well-being conversations.

The Nursing Assistant role will aim:

• To work within a multi-disciplinary team assisting in the development and implementation of collaborative, needs based care plans.
• To support the team in providing excellent and effective person centred, nursing care.
• To be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.
• To be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring service.
• To contribute to achieving all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.
• To deliver and maintain high standards of clinical care; implementing individual plans of care based on a person centred assessment.
• To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
