Job summary

A local nursery provider in Littlethorpe is seeking a Room Leader to ensure high standards of care and education in compliance with the EYFS. The ideal candidate has a minimum of NVQ 3 in childcare, strong leadership abilities, and at least 3 years of experience in childcare. The role involves supporting parents, leading staff, and maintaining best practices within the nursery. Enhanced DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Must have a good understanding of the EYFS and maintain children's development records.
• Experience in childcare for at least 3 years required.
• Management experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with and support parents, carers, and other family members.
• Lead a small team in your room to provide exceptional childcare.
• Maintain good practice in your room, ensuring adherence to the EYFS.

Job description

The role is to assist the Management team to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery and to help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.

-NVQ 3 or above (or equivalent)
-You must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be capable of maintaining children’s development records.
-We are committed to safeguarding children and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
-Childcare: 3 years+ (Required).
-Management: (Preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities of a Room leader:
-Liaise with and support parents, carers and other family members
-Support all staff and promote a good staff team
-Lead a small team in your room to provide an exceptional level of childcare, supported by the nursery management team
-Maintain good practice in your room, ensuring that the EYFS is adhered to
-Keeping records of children’s progress, routines, and interests
