Job summary

A childcare organization in Berkshire is seeking a Nursery Professional Development Trainer to deliver in-house training and development across nurseries. The ideal candidate will have Level 3+ Childcare Qualification and previous leadership experience. Nursery Professional Development Trainer – Berkshire

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000pa (DOE)
Hours: 40 hrs, Monday–Friday (shifts between 7.30am–6.15pm) | All year round, permanent
Locations: Reading & Maidenhead (travel required)

We are seeking a Nursery Professional Development Trainer to join our team, delivering outstanding training and development across our nurseries in Berkshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trainer, Operations Manager, Deputy or Nursery Manager looking to step into a new challenge.

About the Role

As a Professional Development Trainer, you will:

  • Deliver in-house training on EYFS best practice, interactions, curriculum planning & policies
  • Coach and mentor new and existing staff, including those in leadership roles
  • Support professional development through appraisals, supervisions & induction programmes
  • Ensure EYFS & Ofsted requirements are consistently embedded across settings
  • Work closely with managers to raise standards and performance across nurseries
  • Spend approx. 4 days in nurseries and 1 day in head office (flexible depending on business needs)

About You

  • Level 3+ Childcare Qualification
  • Previous Nursery Leadership/Managerial experience essential
  • Strong EYFS & Ofsted knowledge
  • Confident trainer, mentor & coach with excellent communication skills
  • Organised, approachable, professional & adaptable to different personalities
  • Driver with own car (essential)
  • Eligible to work in the UK
