Seedlings is proudly owned and operated by two directors who are both fully certified and experienced ECE leaders.

We have a strong team of experienced kaiako and pride ourselves on the fact that we all have shared values, which in turn supports a positive professional culture. A culture that demonstrates gratitude and kindness.

Our centre is well resourced with a strong emphasis on the provision of a natural purposeful learning environment with strong links to the Reggio and RIE philosophies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead our nursery room alongside a team of 7 kaiako, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment through care, mentoring, empowerment and coaching.
  • Support kaiako learning – responsible for team meetings, 1:1 meetings, internal evaluations and professional growth cycles
  • Build strong relationships with tamariki and their whānau as well as your colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and centre policies and procedures
  • Monitor and assess tamariki's learning progression, adapting plans to suit individual needs.

It is important that our new team leader has the following attributes:

  • NZ recognised ECE qualification with full certification
  • Proven leadership experience within ECE
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about working with infants and toddlers
  • Has a growth mindset and is open to professional growth
  • Excellent communicator with strong relationship and team building skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive practices.
