Job summary

Bright Horizons Westchester House Nursery and Preschool is seeking a proactive Third in Charge to lead and inspire the team in delivering exceptional early years care and education.

You will champion child welfare, health and safety, safeguarding, and collaboration with parents and professionals, while supporting occupancy growth and community links. A Level 3+ Early Years qualification and previous leadership in an EY setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification.
• Experience in Early Years settings.
• Decisive leader with staff support experience.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge.
• Ability to build trust with colleagues and parents.
• Effective communication with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, support and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Ensure child welfare, health and safety and safeguarding across the nursery.
• Maintain strong partnerships with parents and professionals to meet each child’s needs.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required.
• Support retention and occupancy growth, engage with Local Authority on practice.
