Job summary

St William of York Catholic Primary School in Liverpool is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support our Nursery with 2 and 3 year olds. The post is 32.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time (44 weeks). Start Date ASAP.

You will hold a relevant qualification for working with pre-school children and work as part of a close team with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants, bringing patience and enthusiasm to support pupils’ needs and English literacy.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification for working with pre-school children.
• Ability to work as part of a close and friendly team with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants.
• High level of patience and understanding.
• Enthusiasm and passion for helping children reach their potential.
• Excellent basic skills in literacy, numeracy and good spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support the care and welfare of children in the Nursery (2 and 3 year olds).
• Regularly report on pupil progress and contribute to observation and assessment.
• Work effectively as part of a team with teachers and other TAs.
