Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Nursery Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school with a nursery provision in Gateshead. The role starts in September and runs full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a daily pay rate of £107.71.

You will support learning and wellbeing through play, provide one-to-one and small-group support, and help foster confidence and positive behaviour in nursery children while following EYFS and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with nursery-aged children.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Nursery qualification is desirable.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Passion for supporting young children's development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and children's wellbeing.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required

• Build positive relationships and help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff while following EYFS and safeguarding procedures

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Recent experience working with nursery-aged children
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Nursery qualification(desirable)
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development
• A commitment to safeguarding and children’s wellbeing

Applicants must live locally to Gateshead – no relocation.
