Job description

The Nursery at ESMS is currently recruiting for a Nursery Teacher Assistant and Early Birds Assistant to join on a part-time, temporary basis from August 2025 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks) until 26 June 2026. The hours are:

  • Thursday and Friday, 7:30am to 8:30am as Early Birds Assistant
  • Thursday and Friday, 8:30am to 3:00pm as Nursery Teacher Assistant

The role offers a total of 14 hours per week. Salary ranges from £7,871 to £8,989 per annum, depending on skills and experience, and staff are placed on the ESMS Support Staff Salary Scales.

The purpose of this role is to support Class Teachers, Senior Lead Practitioners, and Early Years Practitioners. Key duties include supporting individual and group activities, assisting children with their learning, and providing pastoral care.

The ideal candidate will be kind, enthusiastic, responsible, experienced with children, possess a recognized childcare qualification, and have strong organizational skills.
