Job description

The Nursery at ESMS is currently recruiting for a Nursery Teacher Assistant and Early Birds Assistant to join on a full-time, temporary basis from August 2025 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks) until 26 June 2026. The hours of work are Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 8:30am for Early Birds, and 8:30am to 3pm for Nursery Teacher Assistant, with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch, totaling a 35-hour paid workweek. The roles are on the ESMS Support Staff Salary Scales, with a salary range of £19,844 to £22,473 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

The purpose of these roles is to support Class Teachers, Senior Lead Practitioners, and Early Years Practitioners. Key duties include supporting individual and group activities within the Nursery, aiding children’s learning, and providing pastoral care.

The ideal candidate will be a kind, enthusiastic, responsible individual prioritizing children's interests and working well within a team. They should have experience working with children, possess a recognised childcare qualification, and demonstrate strong organisational skills.
