Job description

Job Title – Nursery Teacher

Job Location – South London

Salary – £18k

Our client is recruiting a nursery teacher to raise the quality of early year’s provision and act as an agent of change to improve practice in the nursery.

To demonstrate good practice across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), support other practitioners and model the skills and behaviors that safeguard and promote good outcomes for children.

To have the skill, creativity, commitment, energy and enthusiasm required for good practice in the early years.

Responsibilities:

  1. Promote the aims and objectives of the nursery
  2. Promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and visitors
  3. Demonstrate and implement good practice in the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage to other practitioners within the setting
  4. Ensure the provision of high standards of physical and emotional care
  5. Work as part of our team to support other practitioners
  6. Establish and sustain a culture of collaborative and co-operative working between colleagues
  7. Work in partnership with families and parents/carers at home and in the setting
  8. Contribute to the work of a multi-professional team and co-ordinate and implement agreed programmes and interventions on a day-to-day basis
  9. Be accountable for the delivery of high-quality provision
  10. Be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, planning meetings, monthly staff meetings, parents evening, fundraising events
  11. Undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time-to-time by the Manager
  12. Willingness to learn about and implement the EYFS through Montessori
