Nursery Room Manager - Full Time - Ladbroke Grove, W11 - £30,873 per annum + amazing benefits

We put people before profit: work for a family of nurseries with heart.

“LEYF gave me the confidence and the teaching to go further in my job.” — Victoria, Room Manager

We’re the London Early Years Foundation, or LEYF Nurseries, a family of 40 nurseries. Our people love working for us because we focus on the child and their family, giving them the best start in life.

LEYF is known for quality teachers — we provide strong in-house training and opportunities for promotion. Our nurseries are independent and community-focused, with teams that support each other. You will join a family of nurseries with a great support network.

What’s in it for you?

“The best thing about working for LEYF is I really believe in what they do.” — Pethro, Deputy Manager

  • Extensive training, promotion opportunities, and a competitive salary for the sector
  • Generous pension scheme (7% contribution from us, 1% from you)
  • 70% discount on childcare fees
  • Up to 35 days off a year, including bank holidays, days between Christmas and New Year, and your birthday (pro-rated for part-time hours)
  • Sector-leading parental leave
  • Additional benefits including well-being app access, shopping discounts, annual conference, and team celebration funds

A bit about the role

“We work as a team. We work as a family.” — Zainab, Room Manager

You are passionate about helping children develop and learn. You will manage a team to create and implement daily activities that engage and educate children. You will collaborate closely with the management team and parents to build strong relationships and best practices.

All LEYF nurseries share a unique teaching model, but you will have the flexibility to be creative and adapt activities to how children learn best. Whether visiting the Science Museum, taking a bus to meet friends at another LEYF nursery, or baking with the nursery chef, it’s always about the children.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • Ability to lead a team within ratio guidelines and foster strong relationships
  • Ability to safeguard and protect children
  • A positive, adaptable, and friendly attitude
