Job Description:

Nursery Room Manager - Full Time - Ladbroke Grove, W11 - £30,873 per annum + amazing benefits

We put people before profit: work for a family of nurseries with heart.

“LEYF gave me the confidence and the teaching to go further in my job.” - Victoria, Room Manager

We’re the London Early Years Foundation, or LEYF Nurseries for short; a family of 40 nurseries. Our people love working for us because we focus on the child and their family, giving them the best start in life.

LEYF is known for quality teachers; we provide strong in-house training and opportunities for promotion. Our nurseries are independent and community-focused, with teams that take care of each other. You will join a family of nurseries with a great support network.

What’s in it for you?

“The best thing about working for LEYF is I really believe in what they do.” - Pethro, Deputy Manager

  • Extensive training, promotion opportunities, and a competitive salary for the sector
  • Generous pension scheme (7% contribution from us, 1% from you)
  • 70% discount on childcare fees
  • Up to 35 days off per year, including bank holidays, Christmas/New Year days, and your birthday (pro-rated for part-time hours)
  • Sector-leading parental leave
  • Additional benefits including well-being app access, shopping discounts, annual conference, and team celebration funds
A bit about the role

“We work as a team. We work as a family.” - Zainab, Room Manager

You love helping children develop and learn. You are warm, positive, and eager to provide the best education to help children succeed in life.

You will manage a team in your room, creating and planning daily activities to engage and educate the children. You will work closely with the management team and parents to build strong relationships and best practices.

While all LEYF nurseries share a unique teaching model, you will have the freedom to be creative and adapt activities to suit how children learn best. Whether visiting the Science Museum, exploring local parks, or baking with the nursery chef, your focus is always on the children.

Requirements:
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Ability to lead a ratio-bound team and foster strong relationships
  • Capability to safeguard and protect children
  • Positive, adaptable, and friendly attitude
