Job summary

N Family Club in Winchester, Hampshire is seeking a Nursery Room Manager to lead a team of Educators in one of our nursery rooms. You’ll champion our learning-through-play approach, drive high standards of care, and support colleagues to reach their goals while ensuring every child receives the best possible start.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a Room Leader or similar).
• For Baby Room Managers, experience with under-2s is required.
• Experience in leading and coaching a team to deliver high-quality care and learning.

As a Room Manager at N Family, you’ll lead an incredible team of expert Educators in one of our nursery family rooms. As a specialist in early years education, you’ll be the driving force behind passionate, innovative teaching. Your key responsibilities

• Shape the daily routine of your room, ensuring smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
• Support your team to plan, observe, and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to every child.
• Coach, guide, and motivate your team through regular feedback and professional development.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and keep them involved in their children’s learning.
• Embed and role-model our safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing standards across your room.

Our Room Managers should have...

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, or early years educator).
• For Baby Room Managers, you will need previous experience working with children under 2.
• Experience in leading and coaching a team.
• A background in leading consistent and exceptional customer service.
• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
• Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and a commitment to remain compliant.
• Relevant safeguarding/child protection training and be willing to update that training regularly.
• A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.
• A positive, glass-half-full outlook.
• Bags of drive and motivation with a ‘make it happen’ attitude!
• A solid decision-maker with the ability to support and achieve our WIGs (Wildly Important Goals).
