About the Room Leader Position
An amazing opportunity has arisen within the MiChild group. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and organized individual to join our team as a Room Leader in our Teddies Nursery.
If you are highly motivated, flexible, experienced in working in early years, and have a genuine passion for working with children, then this is the role for you.
Room Leader Responsibilities include:
- Implementing the nursery curriculum as a room leader.
- Providing high standards of quality within the nursery, including environment, resources, and experiences for children.
- Leading planning and maintaining accurate children's records.
- Promoting partnership with parents/carers and family members.
- Supporting best practices regarding special needs and inclusion.
- Collaborating with the Childcare and Education team to improve childcare and education quality.
- Ensuring children's safety and staff understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- Meeting children's nutritional needs and complying with Food Safety Regulations.
- Adhering to legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and company policies.
- Staying updated on developments in childcare and education policy and practice.
Requirements for the Room Leader:
- Level 3 qualification.
- Understanding of Ofsted requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience working with children and families.
- Extensive safeguarding knowledge.
- Experience working with parents and external agencies.
- Managing administration requirements.

Experience required:
- Childcare experience of at least 1 year preferred.
Salary:
From £12.80 per hour.
