About the Room Leader position

An amazing opportunity has arisen within the MiChild group. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and organized individual to join our team as a Room Leader at Meadow Nursery.

If you are highly motivated, flexible, experienced in working in early years, and have a genuine passion for working with children, then this is the role for you.

Room Leader responsibilities include:

• Working as a room leader and implementing the nursery curriculum.
• Providing high standards of quality within the nursery, including the environment, resources, and experiences offered to children.
• Leading planning and maintaining accurate children's records.
• Promoting and facilitating partnerships with parents, carers, and family members.
• Supporting good practice regarding special needs and inclusion.
• Collaborating with the Childcare and Education team to improve childcare and education quality.
• Ensuring children's safety and staff understanding of safeguarding procedures.
• Meeting children's nutritional needs and complying with Food Safety Regulations.
• Adhering to relevant legislation, including the Children Acts 1989 and 2004, and company policies and procedures.
• Staying updated on current developments in childcare and education policy and practice.

Room Leader requirements:

• Level 3 qualification
• Understanding of Ofsted requirements
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience working with children and families
• Extensive safeguarding knowledge
• Experience working with parents and outside agencies
• Managing and maintaining administrative requirements
