Job summary

RAFAKidz Nursery at RAF Cosford seeks a proactive Nursery Room Leader to manage a busy room and lead a dedicated team. The role involves hands-on care, ensuring engaging learning environments and acting as a role model for staff development.

You will guide colleagues toward best practices, support ongoing training, and have at least one year of Level 3 experience in early years with EYFS knowledge. Paediatric First Aid is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading a nursery room and coordinating staff.
• Ability to motivate and model best practices for reception and care teams.
• Good understanding of EYFS learning outcomes and planning for development.

About you

You can expect to be fully 'hands on' to create a stimulating and exciting nursery setting. Ideally you will be either an experienced Room Leader or a Level 3 Practitioner ready for your next challenge. As well as the usual responsibilities that you would expect of this role, our Room Leaders are part of our management team and role models to other members of staff. You will encourage and motivate your colleagues to continually demonstrate best practices and support them in their learning journey towards their qualifications. You will have a minimum of one year's experience working at a level 3 position in an early year's environment and have a good understanding of the EYFS learning outcomes to plan for children's learning and development. A current Paediatric First Aid certificate is required for this role
