Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Toddler Room Leader to join a well-established early years childcare provider delivering high-quality services and full-day care and education for babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.

As a Room Leader, you will be leading the toddler room and supporting the delivery of high-quality care and early learning experiences. This full-time role offers a salary range of £27,000 - £30,000 and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

1. Taking the lead in the day-to-day running of the toddler room
2. Overseeing activity planning to support children's developmental stages
3. Promoting a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
4. Supervising and guiding nursery staff within the room
5. Building trusting relationships with parents, keeping them informed of progress and concerns
6. Ensuring all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed
7. Observing and responding to children's needs, development, and behaviour

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager, Assistant Room Manager, or Senior Nursery Nurse in a similar role.
• Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Sound understanding of early years education and child development.
• Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Confidence in leading a team and managing daily operations within a room.
• A caring nature and genuine enthusiasm for supporting young children's growth.
