An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced and energetic Supervisor to join our team at our Salisbury nursery.

As a Room Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of shaping the educational journey of our children, using our unique and innovative curriculum Where Children Shine. You will lead a well-established team in delivering high-quality care and education, with a focus on promoting school readiness and fostering a love for learning. What You Will Be Doing

As a room supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective running of the nursery, through efficient organisation and having the ability to plan and prioritise your work. You will have a room team with several staff members, where you will lead and manage your own key group of children, whilst ensuring your room team provide quality, safe and stimulating environments.

Ensuring we work as a team is essential as a room supervisor, therefore you will lead by example using your valuable experience to provide guidance, support and mentorship to team members with empathy and care. You will work closely with the management team to provide the best professional development opportunities for your staff team, and mentor and coach colleagues through induction, supervision and appraisals using tools such as peer observation and mentoring meetings.

Within your own key group and those of your team members you will ensure that our bespoke Where Children Shine curriculum, along with the EYFS requirements are used effectively to observe, plan and asses each individual child.

Beyond the care of our children, our families are at the centre of everything we do, therefore our room supervisor will communicate effectively with our families, creating professional relationships and keeping them consistently informed about their childs progress and wellbeing.

Who Were Looking For

Our ideal Room Supervisor will be a least level 3 qualified (preferably level 6) with a full and relevant early years education or childcare qualification. You will have an evident passion for making a difference within early years practice and have relevant experience in supporting team members to make positive progress within their roles.

You will have proven experience leading a quality nursery room environment, and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of working with our children. As part of this leadership, it will be vital that you have a track record of upholding established policies and procedures particularly around ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of our children and the health and safety of educational environments.

An ability to embody our SHINE values (Support, Honesty, Inspiration, Nurturing and Empowerment) within everything you do and show confidence, positivity and honesty to your room team and the wider nursery will be essential.
