Qualifications

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified early years professional to lead a room and make a meaningful impact on children’s early development and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the daily running of the nursery room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  2. Plan, prepare, and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.
  3. Support and mentor room staff, promoting high standards of care and education.
  4. Monitor and record children’s progress, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
  5. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  6. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and all nursery policies and procedures.
  7. Participate in regular team meetings and staff development sessions.

Candidate Requirements:
  1. Must hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification or above in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience in a nursery setting.
  3. Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  4. Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  5. A passion for early childhood development and a nurturing approach.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Up-to-date DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
