We at Zero2Five are proud to be working for a long-established, family-run childcare setting near Bowerhill, Melksham, seeking an experienced Level 3 Qualified Room Leader. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team providing outstanding care to children.

Requirements for this role:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years (UK equivalent) Qualification
  • Paediatric First Aid certification
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS and statutory requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct and a child-centred approach, in accordance with nursery policies, procedures, legislation, the EYFS, and registration requirements.
  • Support and supervise staff within your room.
  • Safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children.
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Encourage children's progress across all development areas through interaction and extension of play activities.
  • Keep accurate records for each child in your key worker group, including registers, sleep charts, nappy books, and home books.
  • Participate in curriculum planning, policy writing, and record keeping as requested by the Manager.
  • Encourage parent involvement in their child's development.
  • Support the nursery's environment that promotes equal opportunities for children and staff.
  • Provide high standards of physical and emotional care.
  • Promote the nursery's standards to parents, staff, and visitors.
