Job description

We at Zero2Five are proud to be working for a quality long established family ran childcare setting who are looking to employ an experienced Level 3 Qualified Room Leader for their spacious and unique setting based near Bowerhill, Melksham. The successful candidate will join their dedicated team in providing outstanding care too children.

Requirements for this role:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years (UK equivalent) Qualification
  • Paediatric first aid
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS and all statutory requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining at all times a high standard of professional conduct and a child centred approach to the care provided in accordance with the nursery policies, procedures, current legislation, the EYFS, registration requirements
  • Support and supervise other staff within your room.
  • Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
  • To ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
  • To actively encourage children s progress in all areas of development, types, and stages of play, by interaction and extension of play activities.
  • To be responsible for keeping the individual record file for each of the children in the key worker group, maintain accurate records including registers, sleeps charts, nappy books, home books etc.
  • To be involved in curriculum planning, policy writing and record keeping as requested by the Manager.
  • To encourage the participation and involvement of all parents of children attending the nursery and their child s development.
  • To support the work and beliefs of the nursery by helping to create an environment that promotes open and equal opportunities for children and adults
  • To ensure the provision of high standards of physical and emotional care
  • To promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and visitors
