Job description

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic early years professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established nursery, is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner or Room Leader to provide outstanding care and leadership within their vibrant setting, in Bootle!

About the Role

As a key member of the team, you will:

  1. Provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5.
  2. Observe, support, and extend children’s learning through play-based activities.
  3. Ensure all children are safe, well-cared for, and their individual needs are met.
  4. Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external professionals.
  5. Lead by example, mentoring and supporting fellow team members.
  6. Oversee room planning, organisation, and the implementation of EYFS principles.
  7. Ensure a high standard of safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene procedures.
  8. Communicate effectively with families and contribute to a positive nursery atmosphere.
Requirements
  1. Level 3 childcare qualification or above.
  2. Strong knowledge of EYFS and child development milestones.
  3. Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and support a team.
  4. A commitment to providing high-quality early years education.
  5. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
