Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Toddler Room Leader to join a well-established early years childcare provider delivering high-quality services and full-day care and education for babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.

As a Room Leader, you will be leading the toddler room and supporting the delivery of high-quality care and early learning experiences. This full-time role offers a salary range of £27,000 - £30,000 and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

  • Taking the lead in the day-to-day running of the toddler room
  • Overseeing activity planning to support children’s developmental stages
  • Promoting a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
  • Supervising and guiding nursery staff within the room
  • Building trusting relationships with parents, keeping them informed of progress and concerns
  • Ensuring all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed
  • Observing and responding to children’s needs, development, and behaviour

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager, Assistant Room Manager, Senior Nursery Nurseror in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Sound understanding of early years education and child development
  • Level 3 childcare qualification
  • Confident in leading a team and managing daily operations within a room
  • A caring nature and genuine enthusiasm for supporting young children’s growth
