Job description

We are seeking a Nursery Room Leader. Please only apply if you have a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification.

Tasks:
  1. Plan and prepare activities that stimulate children's and babies' interests, ensuring the inclusion of all staff in the learning process.
  2. Take into account the Equal Opportunities policy and issues of diversity, promoting awareness of how skills and knowledge of books and play materials develop and celebrate diversity within the local community.
  3. Work independently with initiative, with support from the Manager and Directors when needed.
  4. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms with children, parents, and external agencies.
  5. Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately, adhering to legislation requirements.
  6. Maintain daily routines and respond flexibly to service demands.
  7. Respond to reasonable requests to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery.
  8. Maintain pride in the environment and promote equal opportunities.
  9. Prioritize safeguarding and the well-being of children at all times.
  10. Support and advise team members, fostering good relations with staff, volunteers, students, and parents.
  11. Create a safe environment for children and visitors, emotionally and psychologically.
