Job description

Step Teachers are working with a Nursery in Tower Hamlets to find an enthusiastic and qualified Nursery Room Leader. If you are passionate about Early Childhood Education and dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for young children, we want to hear from you! Please note this is a flexible role available full-time or part-time, and the successful candidate is expected to start in September 2025.

Nursery Room Leader - Role:

1. Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
2. Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
3. Preparing and setting up activities, ensuring resources are available and used appropriately.
4. Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.
5. Fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere.

Nursery Room Leader - Requirements:

1. Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification.
2. Previous experience as a Room Leader in an early childhood education setting.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
