At our Murrayfield Nursery in Edinburgh, we are now seeking an experienced Room Leader to support and lead one of our busy rooms. Working a 38 hr week, we are offering a salary up to £30,173 depending on experience, with great benefits being offered too. Our Nursery is on excellent transport links, with buses stopping right outside the nursery.

The Murrayfield Nursery is part of CC Nurseries and is based in Edinburgh, at our busy 90 place nursery we offer a home-from-home environment, led by our passionate and caring team. Our nursery is filled with hand-picked resources (natural where possible) to encourage self-directed play and discovery. Outside we have a large, secure outdoor space including fire pit, fishpond and outdoor classroom, as well as a separate area for the youngest children to enjoy fun.

Requirements

1. Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
2. Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
3. Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency.
4. Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
5. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always.
6. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the Curriculum for Excellence are met.

You will need to have a Level 3 / SCQF 7 Early Years Qualification, a minimum of 3 years working in a Nursery Setting and 1 years experience in a leadership role.
