Job summary

Flow Recruitment is seeking a Nursery Room Leader for a busy nursery in Chorley. The role involves day-to-day management of an allocated room, ensuring a happy, safe and stimulating environment for children, and supporting staff development.

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and undergo an enhanced DBS check. The post offers genuine opportunities for career progression, training, pension and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Strong understanding of a child’s developmental needs.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Ability to train and develop nursery staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of an allocated room in the nursery.
• Ensure children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
• Provide a range of stimulating learning experiences to support development.
• Support and develop staff through training and guidance.

Nursery Room Leader

A qualified nursery room leader responsible for the day to day running of an allocated area or room within the nursery. You must be NVQ level 3 qualified or equivalent. An important role in training and developing staff by imparting knowledge and skills. You will be required to ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. You will also need to have a sound understanding of a child’s developmental requirements and to provide a range of stimulating learning experiences designed to meet children’s all round development. Successful Nursery Room Leader will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
