Nursery Room Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nursery Room Leader with 2 years’ experience to join a well-established nursery school. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £27,800 - £28,950.

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of your designated room, ensuring the highest levels of safety, care and wellbeing for all children.

You will be responsible for:

1. Planning and delivering stimulating, age-appropriate activities that support holistic development.
2. Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of practitioners to uphold excellent standards.
3. Maintaining strong relationships with parents and carers through effective communication and regular updates.
4. Supporting individual needs and managing key-worker responsibilities with attention and care.
5. Maintaining accurate records relating to children’s progress, development and welfare.

What we are looking for:

1. Previously worked as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager, Assistant Room Manager, Senior Nursery Nurse or in a similar role.
2. At least 2 years’ experience working in a nursery.
3. Level 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare.
4. Understanding of the EYFS framework.
5. Passion for working with young children.
6. Current DBS check or willingness to obtain it.
