About the role

An exciting vacancy has arisen within our People Team for a Nursery Room Leader, working with children aged 2 - 3 to deliver a high level of service to our team and departments on resort.

You will report to the Nursery Assistant Manager. The Room Leader will supervise and support team members in the planning, organisation, and operation of their room. You will also provide a stimulating and varied programme of play, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children by working alongside the Nursery Manager to deliver a consistent experience for Parents/Carers/Children and the team, while adhering to all compliance standards of Butlin’s Little Learners Day Nursery.

Typical working hours are 40 hours a week, from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. This role is permanent, as the nursery operates all year round.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a minimum NVQ level 3 or higher in childcare.
  • Demonstrate previous experience working with children in a nursery setting.
  • Have strong knowledge of statutory requirements, safeguarding, and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Experience working with children aged 0-2 is desirable; training can be provided.
  • Enjoy working in a friendly environment, possess good communication skills, and work well as part of a team.
  • Be a great team player and thrive in a busy environment. Flexibility and willingness to try new things are essential.
