Job description

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Room Leader to join our vibrant team.

As a Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning and development journey of children in your care. You will be responsible for leading a team, maintaining a nurturing environment, and ensuring that each child receives the best care and education according to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily running of the room, ensuring high standards of care and education are delivered.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Observe and assess children's learning and development, providing tailored support to help them flourish.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and support them in their child's learning journey.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a childcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage the day-to-day operations of the room.
  • Passion for working with young children and commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
